Pit fired ceramics, pine needle basketry, deer antler, feathers, wool yarn, Tibetan agate, turquoise, Landscape stone, jasper, silver beads, artificial sinew.
Approx. size – 23″ x 20″ x 16″ tall

This ceramic base reminded me of our wonderful summer rain clouds, big and billowing with smoking marks that are reminiscent of a threatening thunderhead.
The basketry winds and twists around like the gathering winds, carrying with it drops of rain like the silver beads and bells that are woven into the sinew.
As the first warm, fat raindrops begin to fall, fauna take flight seeking shelter, leaving in their wake earth’s treasures waiting to be washed clean.
A cycle that is repeated over and over during the summer’s monsoon season.
