The white tail deer has such a delicate, narrow skull. I love this one in particular because so much of the sinus cavities have remained in tact and exposed. Such fragile little bones. The design I chose accentuates the beautiful antlers as well calls attention the intricate internal structures. The center stone cabochons have the coloration of tiger’s eye but there is an internal luminosity that gives the feeling of a star of sapphire. Very unusual as they catch the light from different angles.
It is easy to imagine this regal deer overseeing his forest domain once upon a time.
