Sean’s Pride is a commissioned design for pedestal Sculptor John Septien’s son, Sean. The antelope was Sean’s first bow hunting trophy.
The Septiens are avid hunters who have helped me to understand the sport and the responsibility that goes with it.
No part of the animal is wasted and nothing is left in the wild.
In tribute to bow hunting for Sean I have incorporated an obsidian arrowhead with echos of arrow motion and trailing feathers.
The colors chosen reflect the colors of the landscape where this beautiful antelope once lived.
